CHLOÉ NICOLE CASTRUCCI
So, who am I?
My name is Chloé Nicole Castrucci (she/her).
I'm a Toronto based actor and graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies Specialist program jointly at the University of Toronto Mississauga & Sheridan college. I've been performing for over a decade across stages and screens, and when I'm not performing, you can find me writing, choreographing, and teaching young artists. I'm passionate about TYA, exploring the intersections between performance disciplines, and the 2016 film La La Land. My contagious charisma and dedication to my craft sets me apart as a creator and storyteller, and I'm so glad you're checking out my website!

The Long Story
From a very young age, Chloé has felt a calling to the performing arts. Whether it be casting her two siblings in performing countless lengthy talent shows for their very patient parents, belting out show tunes as a part of youth theatre company casts, or high-kicking on dance competition stages, Chloé was bitten by the performing bug and hasn't stopped since!
She has gone on to graduate from the Theatre and Drama Studies (TDS) Specialist Program jointly at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College. There she has had the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s top theatre practitioners and act in a range of projects from plays and musicals to short films and animated projects. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction in performance history, theory, and dramaturgy from UofT; and an Advanced Conservatory Diploma in Professional Actor Training from Sherdian.
Presently, Chloé is a Toronto based actor who has most recently appeared in Archimedes Moves the World, Education Arts Canada's newest theatre-for-young audiences touring musical. She can also be spotted in commercials for companies including Family Channel and Rogers, and in Filipino TV Inc.'s newest Feature Film "Tingga" which is set to premiere this fall. Upcoming, she is excited to be in Sunbeam Theatre Co.'s When I Grow Up which will go up in August at Factory Theatre. She is a proud ACTRA apprentice member.
Chloé is a versatile triple threat artist. She is a trained mezzo soprano musical theatre singer, and an award winning dancer with over 9 years of dance training, favouring Musical Theatre, Song and Dance, and Tap (The Dance Pac). Over the years she has fallen in love with choreography and is currently the Company Choreographer for Young Artists' Theatre. She is also a passionate writer, with plays, musicals, and short film writing credits under her belt. She has won awards for her work including "Best Musical" for Mythic Women & Their Cabaret to Save Humanity (Book Writer/Choreographer; UofT Drama Coalition Awards) and her original play "Through The Cracks" was the winner of UTM's 48 hour playwriting competition.
When she is not performing, she finds endless joy and fulfillment in teaching. She proud to be a Teaching Artist with the Travelling Stage Inc. where she travels to many schools delivering performing arts workshops and perform artist residencies with select schools where her teaching culminates in a final show. She is also a Performing Arts Mentor and choreographer for JDL Performing Arts school. Across all of her teaching gigs, she finds herself constantly inspired by her students' creativity, wonder, and joy. They remind her why she became an artist herself and why the arts are so important.
In all of her artistic endeavours, storytelling and community are foundational pillars to her practice, and she is particularly drawn to work that combines performance disciplines. As an actor it is always her goal to bring presence, empathy, joy, and an authentic emotional connection to each character she plays. Her dedication, collaborative spirit, and contagious charisma sets her apart and she is excited to continue to share more stories and characters with audiences across stages and screens.
